M.M.A.

Mixed Martial Arts, as the name suggests is a mixture of various fighting arts. The majority of those who are successful in the ring have excellent Thai Boxing skills and ground fighting techniques. This class will teach both. You will learn the art of defending yourself in both a standing stance but also how to take down and succeed on the floor. MMA includes Boxing, Thai Boxing, no Gi Ju Jitsu, Judo, Submissions and Wrestling. This class will offer opportunities for students to spar with individuals of their same level. M.M.A. Fundamentals

Coached by a top MMA Champion this class will teach basic fundamentals and techniques and is specifically designed to introduce new students to Mixed Martial Arts. The aim of this class is to build a strong foundation in all 3 ranges of fighting You will learn key stand up, take down & ground skills, and perfect the art of moving safely from each level with effective offence, defence & movement skills so that a new student will feel comfortable & acquainted with the techniques and training methodologies that he/she will encounter within the other classes. Students will also learn and develop the proper rapport whilst drilling & training with a partner, you will learn to help and work with a partner using progressive resistance to ensure a challenging & beneficial training session MMA gloves are recommended please see our lifestyle shop for proper equipment.
M.M.A. Sparring

This class is for the more experienced individual. MMA sparring enables you to put yournew Mixed Martial Arts skills to the test against individuals of the same level. Refine and perfect your offence, defence, footwork and timing. Your coach will be on hand to provide advice and coaching to improve your contact skills and introduce new techniques. Wrestling
Wrestling is an ancient form of martial art that uses grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws, takedowns, joint locks, pins and many other grappling holds. Wrestling is a physical competition between two people, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position over one another. The benefits of wrestling are numerous, it provides one of the best full body workouts around but not only that wrestling also has many cardio benefits too. Wrestling techniques can also be used as a method of self-defence if you find yourself in a bad situation. These are just a few of the general benefits of taking wrestling classes, more specifically wrestling teaches coordination, balance and increases speed, strength and agility. If you are practicing MMA, becoming proficient in wrestling techniques can make you a more successful and well rounded fighter. Coached by one of the UK's Top Wrestlers.
Sub Grappling

This is a non-striking ground based martial art where you submit your opponent by varioussubmission techniques such as arm bar, leg bar & choke etc. Submission grappling aims to teach you the principal techniques of ground fighting, which includes submission holds, escapes and basic movement skills. No previous experience necessary this class will be offered with different ability levels. This class will offer opportunities for students to spar with individuals of their same level. Thai Boxing

Muay Thai is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or the "Science of Eight Limbs" because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact". Coached by a World Champion Thai Boxer, this class will not only teach you the art of Thai Boxing you will also improve the skills closely linked the sport: fitness, strength, coordination, flexibility, posture, awareness and self-confidence. Pupils range in age from 14 to 60. Some students seek self-defence basics; others come seeking the fitness benefits from this highly aerobic activity. This type of training will jump start the metabolism and create tone without building size!
Striking

This non contact striking class teaches you proper form and techniques to strike the pads with greater power & speed. This class is instructed by a Professional Mui Tai coach who has coached 5 World Champions. He will teach you to generate more power behind your punches by improving your body mechanics, speed, posture, balance, movement and technique! Good strikers don't just punch with the arm and shoulder muscles, they use the whole body to generate punching power, which also makes this class a great way to improve muscle tone, coordination & cardio! Boxing

This class, taught by a top level Ex-Pro Boxer, will teach boxing fundamentals and techniques. No previous experience necessary as it will be offered with different levels so there is a progression offered to those avid fight fans. In this class you will refine and perfect your combinations, offense and defence, work the focus pads with your partner, learn to jump rope, master footwork and lateral movement and you will also work on arm and core strength with a light weight high repetition dumbbell workout. This workout class coached by a Fully Qualified Boxercise Coach, uses the entire body. Cardiovascularly you burn more calories in an hour than using a stair climber. Boxercise combines the use of both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the systematic recruitment of both fast and slow twitch muscle fibres in a manner that not only ensures a diverse workout, but also enhances sports specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing.
